Hi Everyone we are “Little Tree” an Eco-Friendly building and home supply centre that will soon open on the Sunset Road Kuta, and we are presently constructing our Eco-Friendly building with the same materials we will offer you in the near future so you can also build and renovate in an Eco-Friendly way. 
We will show you how we will do this, so this week we are going to tell you about our FSC Certified Timber products.
“LITTLE TREE” Bali is a proponent of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) which encourages - the proper management of the lungs of our earth, “wonderful forests”. The FSC is active in putting a STOP to practices that have a negative impact on the environment and also educates, implement and regulate forestry practices to help restore our earth's soil habitats… The FSC has developed a set of certification for forestry management which are the most internationally recognized standards worldwide to control the illegal logging of tree's… Each FSC certified product (what you can recognize via the FSC, Labels www.fsc.org) has a “Chain of Custody” audit performed to ensure that certified and non-certified materials are kept separate and that FSC claims are kept legitimate. This Chain of Custody starts already in the forest where the tree’s are specially selected, what mean that they to keep the forest ecosystem in balance. And leave as minimal a possible a footprint. Each log is tracked all the way to its final destination, which maybe one day will be part of your new Eco-Friendly Home…..
Some of the FSC license Timber products “Little Tree” will offer are: Plywood, Laminated Veneer lumber (LVL) and plain Sawn Timber. To add to its green qualities FSC certified Engineered Lumber and Plywood are produced using non toxic environmental friendly adhesives. Our FSC certified Plywood will be extremely low in chemical emission, designed to meet the strict emission requirements of the California Air Resources Board (CARB). Our FSC Timber products are sourced from sustainable forests in Kalimantan Indonesia, and are certified and perfect for green building applications. Did you know that: FSC certified engineered wood and plywood is much stronger than steel and that it is used in Japan to build sky scrapers that are earth quake resistant? And that it is able to be boiled in water for not less than 72 hours, then frozen and after boiled again without delaminating…So how about that…
Down line: Don't always go for companies offering the lowest price on the market offering low quality wood from illegal logged forest for your new building project, but instead look for companied that offer certified good quality and environmental friendly wood.
